Focus on Sailing
Indian Harbor Yacht Club’s Focus on Sailing program offers Members and Summer Members easy access to recreational sailing, sailing tuition, and competitive racing in the club's fleet of Ideal 18 keelboats. The Ideal 18 is an open keelboat which is easily operated singlehanded with its self tacking jib, or competitively raced with two or three people using its spinnaker. The boat can seat up to four adults or two adults and several children, making it perfect for family daysailing. The program is designed for all sailors, from absolute beginners to experienced racers, to learn and enjoy one-design sailing and racing.
