Visting by Sea

  • Directions by Water
    • Indian Harbor is located at 41º 00' 40" N, 73º 37' 23" W inside Greenwich Harbor, which is part of Captain Harbor.

      Heading east, enter Captain Harbor by leaving Great Captain Island and Nun "2" to your starboard hand. Proceed toward Cormorant Reef buoy Nun "4" leaving Jones Rocks Fl G 4M "3" to port and Nun "4" to starboard. Head northeast for 0.6nm and turn left into Greenwich Harbor.

      Heading west, enter Captain Harbor by passing between GB "1" to port and Nun "2" to starboard. Head WNW for 1.2nm and turn right into Greenwich Harbor making sure to leave Hen & Chicken buoy Can "1A" to your port.

  • Guest Moorings

    • Guest and transient moorings are available, with use of the Club launch included in the fee. Reservation requests for non-members are made through Dockwa.

  • 2024 Launch Schedule
    • Launch operators monitor VHF 68 during launch hours below. If hailing by VHF is not possible, vessels may call the Front Desk at (203) 869-2484.

      May 1 – May 26 Monday – Thursday: 0800 – 2030
      Friday – Sunday: 0700 – 2200
      Beginning May 15 on Wednesdays Twilight Series service until 2300
      May 27 – September 2              Monday – Thursday: 0800 – 2200
      Friday – Sunday: 0700 – 2400
      September 3 – October 13              Monday – Thursday: 0800 – 2000
      Friday – Sunday: 0800 – 2200
      Gearbuster, October 12 – through last finish
      October 14 – November 3              Daily service by request: 0800 – 1830 from North Float             
      November 3              All boats required to be removed from moorings by this date



      Club launches are operated solely by USCG licensed Marine Staff. In case of emergency or danger, the Marine Staff will do whatever is practicable to ensure the safety of yachts, but neither they nor the Club assumes any responsibility for such yachts.

  • Dockage
    • Due to limited space, the Club's docks typically are not available to non-member yachts. However, guests with restrictions or specific need for dockage may make a reservation request through Dockwa, and the Club will determine how best to accommodate the request.

      Short-term dockage for pickup/drop off can be made available by hailing Marine Staff on VHF 68. Maximum draft at docks is 6.5ft at MLLW. Potable water and 30 amp, 50 amp and 120V connections are available. Dinghies may be docked on the northernmost end of the West Docks. Contact Marine Staff via VHF 68 with any questions.

  • Fuel, Pump Out, Ice
    • The Club does not have a fuel dock or pump out service, so please plan accordingly.

      • Fuel is available at several locations on the Mianus River (nearby to the East)
      • Free pump outs are offered across the harbor at the Grass Island Municipal Dock, which can be reached at (203) 618-9695. Soundkeeper also offers a free mobile pump out service and they can be reached on VHF 77
      • Bagged ice is available at IHYC. Visit the launch desk or inquire on VHF 68
  • Club Facilities
    • Dining is available to members of reciprocal clubs, who have provided a letter of introduction from their home club and made a reservation in advance. Reciprocal club members should contact their home club for further information. Locker room and shower facilities are available for use by members, guests, and those with a guest mooring reservation.
